Please join us in supporting this year’s Big Steps for Little Feet walk. At Monmouth Medical Center, the Hovnanian Regional Newborn Center specializes in care for high-risk premature and critically ill newborns. Each year, the Walk honors our NICU graduates and provides valuable financial support for the unit.
More than 11 percent of babies born in the US are premature. Our board certified neonatologist and nursing team specialize in family-centered treatment providing a multidisciplinary experience. Our NICU staff gives each baby their best fighting chance to thrive, while offering comfort and convenience for families.
Monmouth’s NICU cared for 542 critically ill and premature babies last year, and boasts one of the state’s highest infant survival rates. We opened the Michael’s Feat parent suite in 2015, where parents can stay overnight for discharge planning, to be close in event of critically ill baby, or for palliative care. We are planning even more expanded services in 2017 and would truly appreciate your help.
Our 11th Annual Big Steps for Little Feet Walk will take place on September 17, 2017 along the boardwalk at the Great Lawn North in Long Branch, NJ. Last year we had 500 participants at the walk and rose over $80,000 from generous donations. This year we are anticipating even more families and we hope to reach a goal of over $100,000. We hope you will join a great cause where a little walk can make a big difference.
