Help me support Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit by donating today!
It's been almost four years since my son, Jason, was born three months premature. He spent the first 64 days of his life in intensive care at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, and my husband and I will be eternally grateful to the doctors and nurses who saved his life.
Every year, Saint Barnabas holds its Miracle Walk, which was started in order to raise financial support for the NICU. This year is the 17th annual event, and in the past 16 years, Miracle Walk has raised more than $5.5 million to purchase advanced medical technology for the NICU, which cares for more than 1,000 premature and critically ill babies annually.
My family has made a team, J-Walkers, in honor of Jason and my 5-year-old nephew, Joseph, who was born 10 weeks early in 2011.
Our family is very appreciative for the care that our boys received at the NICU. The doctors, nurses, and staff were excellent and helped us get through a very difficult time in our lives.
As a level III Regional Perinatal Center, the NICU offers the latest treatments and modalities in the field to provide the most advanced care. The NICU has one of the best infant survival rates among neonatal intensive care units in the nation.
On behalf of the entire NICU family and the babies who have been cared for at Saint Barnabas, I hope you can support me and my team for this year's walk. Your commitment and generosity help to guarantee a strong future for the NICU and Saint Barnabas Medical Center.
You can walk with us on Oct. 8 or donate to my team. Your support will matter to so many people.
